About this game

Been leaning on 888 for two months now and the muscle memory for the shortcuts has set in. Long-press on items brings up the wrong context menu about a third of the time. Not the fanciest app in the category, but the most reliable for my daily workflow.

Deleted 888 once, tried two alternatives, and ultimately reinstalled it — the alternatives were worse. Installing the update erased my custom notification categories without any warning. Will update this review when the known bugs are addressed.

I've been using 888 as my daily driver for three months and it genuinely earns its home screen spot. The font rendering is crisp on both AMOLED and LCD panels I've used it on. The team clearly listens to feedback — that counts for something.

Came back to 888 after a failed experiment with a self-hosted alternative. The subscription price increased by 40% with only a one-week notice sent via push notification. The commute test is the one that keeps me loyal.

Post-update, 888's battery optimization is measurably better than the previous version. Playback stutters whenever a notification arrives from another app. Tune mute first; everything else is secondary polish.
